It is with great pleasure that I can announce this morning, speaking on behalf of Chris Pexton and myself as the appointed Parish Representatives, that The Revd Martin Lane presently priest in charge of the parishes of Harting and Elstead with Treyford cum Didling and Rural Dean of Midhurst has been appointed as Vicar of Bosham by The Right Reverend Mark Sowerby Area Bishop of Horsham whose powers were delegated to him by the Right Reverend John William Hind Diocesan Bishop of Chichester and patron of this Parish.

I can further announce that the date of Institution will be the 7^th September 2010 @ 7.30pm.

Both Chris and I are delighted to recommend Martin to you all and hope that you will pray for him; Michelle his wife and 2 young children in the this new and exciting stage in both their lives and of course ours.

Please do not be taken in by appearances.  I can assure you despite Martin’s looks he is not Tom’s clone!!

To put matters into plain English Martin and his family will probably move into Bosham sometime towards the end of July but will not take up his post until the 7^th September. This effectively means that Martin will not participate in Parish Life until after 7^th!
