2009 BOSHAM CHURCH FÊTE
The weather of course is the unknown quantity – however hard everyone works and plans ahead, in the end the weather has the last word and as the day dawned on Saturday 11th July all concerned were hoping for the best – not the very best, we could manage without that, but at least not rain…
However, in spite of very wet conditions everybody rose to the occasion and the visitors still came giving, us a total of £8,130.30. None of this could have happened without the help, hard work and commitment of all the many people who gave so unstintingly of their time – thank you all very much indeed. Also very grateful thanks to our sponsors for their interest and generosity.
In addition I should like to thank Val Hancock and Peter Corbett-Wilson for their help and co-operation in preparing the Manor for the Fête. But above all a most sincere ‘Thank You’ to Catherine and Franck Petitgas for their great kindness and generosity in opening their garden to provide such a very special venue for our Church Fête. Without this lovely setting the Fête would not be the same. I should like to add that I certainly could not have managed without all the wonderful help and support that I received during the planning of the Fête.
The provisional gross takings for each stall are shown below thanks to Tony Acres and his team.
